YES TO A MARCOS BURIAL AT THE LIBINGAN NG MGA BAYANI. This is long overdue. This should have been done by Pres. Cory when former Pres. Marcos died in Sept.1989 and that would have hstartede the process of healing past wounds. But no, the Government turned cold. The remains of former Pres. Marcos were actually barred by the Cory Govt. from being flown back to Manila when he died. It was the Ramos Administration that later allowed the return. Earlier, when his mother Josefa Edralin Marcos in May 1988, Pres. Marcos was not allowed to come home to pay his last respects to his dear mother.
Now more than never, the Filipino people have a golden chance to unite and honor the soldier in former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos by according him a place in the Libingan ng mga Bayani. If the various charges against Marcos will make his interment in Libingan ng mga Bayani clash with his hero status, his legacy as a soldier and as long-serving national leader, then that's a problem for his family to deal with. But we must not deny what close to 200 Congressmen in the LP-dominated Congress already affirmed in HR 1135 in April 2011: that Marcos be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
